Show me Rio is the first edition of a project called Show me Cities, which presents a range of world cities from the perspective of various local personalities and characters. The content has been published as a book with a DVD including a documentary film that is the result of all the interviews that were conducted with the participants in different locations and environments in Rio de Janeiro. The last part of the book is dedicated to all the suggestions and practical tips given by the 19 Cariocas interviewed, resulting in a fabulous and complete Insider Guide. Book written in Portuguese and English. 47-minute film, with audio in Portuguese and the option of English and Spanish subtitles.
We only capture the soul of cities, we only carry them with us, when we also get to know their people and recognise them as part of their essential heritage. It is they who help us understand the reason for everything we eat, hear, read, see and feel. A guide is always a reflection. They, the people, are the mirror of the cities.
In this little book you'll find a documentary film that will show you Lisbon in its purest and most poetic sense, revealed by and through the people who live there every day, and a real insider's guide, so you can enjoy the city to the full, with the help of practical tips and the personal choices of these thirteen unmissable Lisbon locals.
It results from the fusion of synergies between two projects created in 2013 that share a major objective: to promote the city of Lisbon as a shopping destination, revealing its best offer in the most diverse areas. In it you'll find the best shops and brands - both national and international, the unmissable restaurants and taverns, the most interesting cultural routes and the most charming hotels. Even better, you'll find references to spaces and areas of the city that usually escape the usual tourist guides and itineraries. The guide comes in an annual printed edition and a bold digital platform - website and app. Both platforms are free and produced with all tourists and residents in mind who want to discover the best shops in Lisbon, as well as the best restaurants, taverns, hotels, cultural attractions and other routes in and around the capital. Stick around and: See, Shop, Enjoy! Café Pessoa coordinated this guide for Lisbon City Council from 2013 to 2019.
